Oxford style debate

During our training course we conducted an Oxford style debate on the topic of visibility of the projects.

The thesis of the debate was 'Production of t-shirts to increase visibility of youth projects is a waste of money'.

There were two teams: proposition and opposition who were giving arguments for or against the thesis. Audience also could join the discussion in the next rounds, adding some arguments or asking questions.

At the end the best team and best speaker was chosen.

You can see the course of the debate in the video below:

Visiting Zamość

During the training course we visited town hall in Zamość, where we met with the vice president of the city - Ms. Anna Maria Antos. We also could hear very inspiring story from the vice chairman of Zamojskie Voluntary Service Center - Mrs. Krystyna Rybińska-Smyk, about the tools they use for making their actions visible.

Later we visited Center of Tourist and Historical Information in Zamość where we got to know about their ways of promoting the city. In the end we met with the representatives of 'Bastion' Foundation at the city walls and take part in the historical reconstruction shooting with the cannon.

That day brought us a lot of new experiences because we could see not only how NGOs are enhancing visibility of their actions but also how the public sector is doing it.

First days of workshops

First two days of our training course started with the activities that helped us to know each other better. We had a chance to express why we came to this course and we could discuss what experience connected with international projects all of us have.

We also focused more on the main topic of the training course. We were trying to define the words 'visibility' and 'dissemination' and understand the difference between those two concepts. It is very important to understand it if we want our activities to reach a larger group of people.

At the end of the day we had a workshop connected with presenting examples of disseminating the results and enhancing the visibility of the projects. We split into three groups and in each of them there was a person who was presenting the methods used in projects, their strengths and weaknesses.
